Towing laws vary from state to state and are subject to change. Most of these laws were designed for Tractor Trailer / Commercial trucking and it may be difficult to transfer the rules to recreational towing. It is always best to contact your state's department of motor vehicles for any special rules pertaining to RV towing. You should always be aware of the rules of the state you are travelling through. The following towing speeds are for Interstate highways and many states have lower limits for rural roads. Always follow the posted speed signs and be careful some states have two speeds posted, one for autos and one for trucks and towing.
