 About Rich:
rich@2rvguys.com
I am originally from Oregon and my wife (Joanne) is from New England - mostly growing up in Maine and Connecticut. I am from the east side of the mountains in Oregon: blue skies, clear water and great weather. I grew up camping and I still love getting out. I am a traveller by heart and love to see places I haven't been to before. This took me into the Air Force as a pilot and then into "corporate America". While I left active duty I did join the ready reserve and ended up with 23 years of flying around the world for Uncle Sam. In fact, my wife and I both are retired from the Air Force (she is the great looking one with the brains in the family).
We have always been into some form of camping and RVing, but several years ago Joanne and I were on vacation in the Cascades and the Rockies when we stayed at a campground that was "for sale". This got us talking about the benefits of such a life and when the opportunity came up we bought ourselves a campground and spent many years operating it. During this time we got to see the RV life up close and personal, much more than we did going RVing on vacation. We learned a lot and we loved it! We were also reminded that RVers are some of the nicest people in the world (yes, there are those 2 percenters who give us something to talk about) but most would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.
In the campground business I learned about power, sewer, water and everything in between when it comes to RV's. I have seen some great things and some not so great things and learned from them all. We gave up the campground business at the end of 2002 so to move closer to family. We still love to get out and have travelled all over the country. I have learned that RVing is very specific to each person/family. Everyone wants and need different things for many reasons, as we all use our rigs differently.
I have been trained by many thousands of RV'ers needing help and asking questions, as well as the formal training provided by such companies as Fleetwood, Monaco, Coachmen, Winnebago, Lance, Keystone and others. I offer my help and experiences to you and hope I can be of some small help along the way.
To Joanne and I happiness truely is the view out the windshield as we travel the highways and byways of this wonderful country. We would love to run into you out there in a campground or park somewhere having fun.
P.S. I love the stories people tell of their adventures and often have thought of writing a book (haven't we all). If you have great stories to share (keep them short and to the point) we may put them on our web site. We have'nt figured out the rules to what we will publish, so keep it on subject (RV) and either a learning experience or a funny experience and, please, keep it clean.

 About D.A.:
da@2rvguys.com
Retired from the U.S. Army in 1982 (MSG) was a Military Cop, got into Mobile home sales for five years had my own store in Hemet California closed it and got back into working traffic in the great State of California, had my own Private Security/Traffic Control Company. And retired in 1999.
My Wife (Linda) and I began to travel in our new 40' Motorhome across the country. Having children and grand children from the east coast to the west coast and in between, we have plenty of places to stop. Our travels have taken us North and South, we moved from Sunny Southern Calif. to Butte Montana were it gets cold once in a while (like all winter) so we became what is known as "full timers"
We have a place in Butte, but we have lived in our Motorhome since we hit the road. I got involved with the largest RV dealer in the North East and because I like the dealership so much we have been staying in the North East for some time. Including the nice winters, so we have some knowledge to pass on about living in your Motorhome during the wintertime. If you are interested in doing that, check out what I put up in "Living in your RV in the winter" I have always liked helping others so you can learn from our success and mistakes.
I have had intense training in the Monaco, Fleetwood, Coachman, Gulf-stream, Sunline, Montana, Hornet, Cougar, Big Sky & Mountaineer lines of RV's I tend to lean toward the Motorhome's helping others finding the right one for their needs.
My wife and I know how hard it is to find the right one. Especially if you are thinking of going full time. Would a 5th wheel trailer be better than a Motorhome? (Gas or diesel) there is so much to consider in that decision, storage, ease of parking, ease of moving, what to take, what to leave behind. Check out "Getting ready to go full time"
It is fantastic to be free and on the road, seeing this great country, not being tied down to one thing or another. Spending your free time seeing things and not watching TV wishing you could be there. In "getting ready to go full time" I will discuss the different things you can do on the road if (IF) you wish to work on the road as you travel.
